What is virgin hair?
Virgin hair is hair that has not been dyed, bleached, straightened, or chemically treated in any way. All of our hair is in its natural state when cut, with the cuticle intact and aligned in the same direction. This prevents the hair from matting and tangling. The hair is extremely healthy, and will look gorgeous, wash after wash. All hair from The Vanity Box can be bleached, dyed, blow dried, and styled with hot styling tools. We guarantee that our hair is 100% human hair with all cuticles aligned in the same direction–or your money back.
How much hair is in each bundle?
Hair from The Vanity Box comes in bundles weighing 110 grams or between 3.2 and 4 ounces.
How much hair will I need?
For a full install, you will need 3 bundles if using lengths shorter than 22 inches. For hair measuring 22 inches and up, it is recommended to use 4 bundles. For lengths 30 inches and longer, you will need 5 bundles. When using a closure, between 3-4 bundles are recommended for a voluminous look although 3 bundles can complete the install. When using a lace frontal, between 3-4 bundles are recommended for a voluminous look although 2-3 bundles can complete the install.
How long will this hair last?
With proper care, our hair extension bundles will last a year or longer. Lace closures usually last between 2-3 months. Because of the unique and delicate craftsmanship, lace frontals have a shorter life span of 4-6 weeks or 1-2 uses, and typically need to be re-applied and strictly maintained in order to get the full wear. Although versatile and flexible, Lace frontals are considered "temporary styles" due to the life span of the alice itself in comparison to a lace closure. How do I maintain my hair extensions?

Can I color and/or bleach the hair?
Yes. This hair can be colored, bleached, straightened, and curled. It is recommended that you wash and condition it regularly after coloring. Treat this hair as if it is your own.
Does The Vanity Box offer coloring services?
Absolutely. The Vanity Box works with a team of professional hair colorists who can custom color any order.This service is only available at our physical boutique locations.
HOW CAN I PURCHASE VANITY BOX PREMIUM VIRGIN HAIR EXTENSIONS?
The Vanity Box offers two convenient ways to purchase our hair. Our products can be purchased at any of our 5 convenient locations in NYC, NJ, and Philadelphia--with no pre-ordering or waiting necessary. Our hair can also be purchased via our website. Remember, all online orders placed before 12pm EST will ship the same day.
WHAT PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
The Vanity Box gladly accepts MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit and debit cards. Please note that we can only ship a credit/debit card order to the same address to which your statement is sent. Any order that fails to fit this criteria will not ship and be immediately refunded. This policy protects you from fraudulent use of your card.
DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO PURCHASE HAIR AT YOUR BOUTIQUE LOCATIONS?
No appointment is needed to purchase hair in our boutiques. Please feel free to visit any of our locations during normal business hours. Please visit our LOCATIONS page for boutique hours and addresses.
CAN I PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE AND PICK IT UP IN STORE?
Unfortunately, our online orders are handled by our warehouse facility, separate from our boutique locations. All orders placed via our website must be shipped.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
Please contact us to cancel an order. If your order has not departed our facilities, we can cancel the order. Please note that you will incur a $10 restock fee.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Due to the nature of our product, and federal health regulations, all of our hair extensions are final sale. We do not offer refunds on any hair extension purchases.
If you believe that you have received defective merchandise, please contact us immediately. We will NOT allow an exchange if the item has ANY signs of being worn. Hair cannot be brushed, washed, fingered through, combed, cut, or taken out of the bundle. Our hair undergoes a strict quality control process to ensure that our customers receive only the best virgin hair. WHAT ARE YOUR AVAILABLE SHIPPING OPTIONS?
(1) FLAT RATE SHIPPING WITH SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION
The Vanity Box currently ships orders using USPS. Orders placed at TheVanityBoxHair.com before 12 pm standard eastern time, will be shipped the same day. Flat rate shipping requires 3-5 business for delivery after it ships, in addition to a signature upon delivery. Shipping confirmation and tracking is available via email as soon as your order departs our facilities. Please note that once packages are received by USPS, we are no longer responsible for the delivery of the item. This responsibility is passed on to the United States Postal Service (800-275-8777).
(2) EXPRESS SHIPPING POLICY
The Vanity Box offers 1-2 day shipping at an additional cost of $35.00. This shipping method automatically includes insurance and signature confirmation at no extra charge.
(3) INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
The Vanity Box ships international orders via USPS priority International. International shipments cost $40 for any destination worldwide and are normally received within 7-9 working days. The Vanity Box is not responsible for any fees (custom fees or taxes) associated with your shipment upon delivery. We do not refund shipping charges for orders returned.
WHAT INSURANCE IS INCLUDED WITH MY PACKAGE?
All orders placed via TheVanityBoxHair.com are entitled to insurance. All packages are insured up to $200, should your package get lost, stolen, or arrives damaged. To file an insurance claim, please contact us promptly at 1-866-876-4383.

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?
An account is not required to be able to shop with The Vanity Box, although strongly recommended. An account allows you to place orders without you having to fill in your details each time you shop with us.
HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD?
To reset your password, simply select the forgotten password link and you will be sent an email which will explain how you can change your password.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE DETAILS ON MY ACCOUNT?
You can change your details by logging in. simply click on ‘View Addresses’. on this page you can change your personal information and address.
WHY CAN’T I SIGN INTO MY ACCOUNT?
Please be sure that you are entering the correct username and password to sign into your account. If you have forgotten your password, visit the forgotten password link to reset.
CAN I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT?
Yes. You can close your account by contacting our customer care team with the following information:
- Your full name
- Registered email address
- The billing address we have on file for you
Once we have received this information, we will close your account and send you a confirmation email. However we may still need to hold information about you for administrative and audit purposes, and to retain evidence of our contract with you.
